Industry 4.0 for Sustainable Procurement

ESR 4

Industry 4.0 is a buzzword for the fourth industrial revolution that concerns industry but also refers to smart cities, the use of technologies and breakthrough applications (e.g. AI ; Industrial Internet of Things (IoT); Machine-to-Machine Communication (M2M); Internet of Services (IOS), Big Data and Analytics; Innovative methods of collecting and processing massive amounts of data, including Clouds; Augmented Reality (AR); Virtual Reality-(VR); Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS),- Digital Twins).

Nadia’s research creates a nexus between two critical topics: sustainable public procurement in the European Union and the process of public procurement digitalisation. She seeks to understand if, why and how emerging technologies (particularly artificial intelligence) can be used to enhance the uptake of green and social procurement.

ESR 4 is supervised by Jean Monnet professor Dacian Dragos and co-supervised by associate professor Anna Adamik.
