May 24, 2022 | News, Publications, Research

Our Lead Researcher Steven Van Garsse (Associate and executive professor at the Hasselt University and Antwerp/Antwerp Management School, specialized in public law, particularly public procurement and concessions public-private partnerships) recently worked on a Standard on People-first Private-Public Partnerships/Concession Model law for the UNECE. The Model was submitted to the CICPPP 15th session.

The Model Law includes the People-first standard, which references the need to take into consideration all stakeholders when designing Public-Private Partnerships or Concessions. In turn, this would positively impact societies, communities, job opportunities, poverty eradication, fighting discrimination and promote social unity.
