SAPIENS supervisor Dr. Henok Asmelash chaired a SAPIENS workshop at the Birmingham Law School Annual Research Conference.

Firstly, SAPIENS supervisor and Director of Training Professor Martin Trybus provided an overview of the work and objectives of the Network. Then, the newly appointed SAPIENS Network Early Stage Researchers Xinyue Xue and Natalia Spataru delivered papers on their research projects on the promotion of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises through public procurement and sustainability and procurement in Free Trade Agreements respectively.

The Birmingham Law School Research Conference is an annual event to discuss and showcase the work of research students and staff. This year the conference was a hybrid on-campus/Zoom event.
