Registration for the event is open!

In this Summer School Session, SAPIENS ESRs will be exposed in a coherent and structured manner to the main two fields shaping research agenda in SAPIENS, namely law and economics.

The ESRs will be divided for participation in the summer school into 2 groups: (a) law for non-lawyers & (b) economics (and business sciences) for non-economists, to provide foundations and relate them to research and methodological skills in these disciplines. This is aimed at bridging the gap between the two main disciplines and to foster interdisciplinary exchange within and between individual ESRs’ projects.

If you are not affiliated with SAPIENS Network as an early stage researcher, lead researcher, or are from a beneficiary or partner organization, you can still attend, but there is a limit of 10 seats due to the in-person nature of this event! RSVP early for the opportunity to be invited to participate.

About the Summer School

You are invited to participate in the first SAPIENS Network Interdisciplinary Summer School. Interdisciplinary research on the topic of sustainable public procurement is at the core of the research agenda advanced through SAPIENS. ESRs have diverse educational and/or professional backgrounds, which contribute to a diverse set of research proposals and research strategies.

The Summer School is a unique opportunity for all ESRs and external participants to be exposed to interdisciplinary approaches in the study of public procurement. They will come in contact with main theories, concepts, and practices from fields that are complementary to their doctoral research. The in-person activities of the Summer School are designed as a mix of theoretical and practical activities with an emphasis given to small group discussions, case studies, moot court, study visits, and more.
