Project Meeting

The SAPIENS Network entered its fourth and final day with an air of camaraderie and purpose. The day started with an update on the project’s milestones and progress and the morning unfolded with the bi-annual Project Meeting. Team Building

Following the meeting, the SAPIENS Team transitioned into a unique team-building activity hosted by the Centre for Textile Research at the Saxo Institute, University of Copenhagen. Eva Birgitta Andersson Strand and Ulrikka Mokdad, experts in the field, introduced the participants to the fascinating world of sustainability, textiles, and weaving.

In groups of three, participants embarked on a creative journey, weaving tapestries together. The looms were adorned with threads of organically grown or recycled fibers, reflecting the profound interplay between tradition and innovation. Each group was entrusted with a secret keyword -such as inclusiveness, senses, vastness- inspiring vibrant discussions on how to encapsulate its essence in their tapestries. The resulting tapestries, each a testament to the teams’ ingenuity, were proudly displayed for all to see as groups endeavored to decipher the hidden keywords behind their peers’ creations. This activity sensitized participants to the vital issues surrounding sustainability in textiles, offering a tangible understanding of the intricate art of textile construction. Moreover, it kindled the flames of creativity and teamwork, underscoring the power of collective effort in achieving shared goals.

She is currently a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Centre for Private Governance (CEPRI), Faculty of Law, University of Copenhagen. Her research is part of the project Purchase Power – Sustainable Public Procurement through Private Law Enforcement (PurpLE), which is financed by the Carlsberg Foundation.
