About the Course

 

The purpose of this advanced training is for PhD students to learn how to:

  • COMMUNICATE – share their research in an efficient, authentic, understandable, and interesting way
  • DISSEMINATE  – identify and translate their research findings to prospective broader audiences, including various stakeholders and journalists
  • IMPACT – transform their academic research into actual societal impact

Learning Outcomes:

Participants will learn how to:

    • Frame research communication based on the audience, especially for articles, blog posts, and pitching to media;
    • Interact with media;
    • Write a policy brief;
    • Find stories in their research;
    • Turn research into policy impact thanks to feedback from a real-life policy environment.
    • Various tools such as podcasting, videos, and blogging can increase their reach, thought leadership, and collaboration opportunities.

Written by Federica Muscaritoli

Federica Muscaritoli conducts her research at the University of Copenhagen on the interplay between the purchase of Nature-based Solutions in public contracts for the construction sector and the social acceptance of the latter by stakeholders. Federica holds a BSc in Political Sciences and International Relations at Università di Roma La Sapienza and an LLM in European Legal Studies at Università dei studi di Torino, where she graduated with a thesis on sustainable public procurement in the food sector.
